The left wing of the aircraft struck a tree top approximately 100 feet in the air which spun the aircraft around clockwise. Noall attempted to return to the Akron Canton Airport, but was forced to crash into the wooded area. Investigation by troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol revealed by Noall was flying from the Akron Canton Airport to the Beach City Airport when the aircraft experienced a loss of oil pressure and engine speed. Noall was transported to Aultman Hospital by the Perry Township Fire Department where he was treated and released. Perry Township Fire Department dispatch was able to determine his location through cell phone GPS technology. Noall, 72, of Westfield Center, called 911 after the crash, not knowing his location.
